No supplier price has been supplied. Open Estimate purchasing cost to compare your bag and bulk quotes.
Independent calculator sections are added together. Confirm no footprint overlap. Density, delivery and material suitability need supplier confirmation. This is a planning worksheet, not an order placed.

When is bulk gravel cheaper than bags?
It depends on delivered cost and purchasable quantities. Compare whole bags with the supplier’s rounded bulk amount, then add each delivery charge and your entered tax rate. There is no universal cheaper option.
A transparent price example
Suppose your order estimate is 2.5926 yd³. A hypothetical bulk quote of 50 currency units per yd³, sold in 0.5 yd³ increments with 60 delivery, costs 3 × 50 + 60 = 210 before tax. A hypothetical 0.5 ft³ bag at 5 each requires 140 bags and costs 700 before delivery. These are invented comparison inputs, not market prices.
Make both quotes cover the same job
Use the same density and ordering allowance. Weight-sized bags and volume-sized bags use different formulas. Enter bag yield from the label when available. Minimums and increments use the selected bulk price unit. Delivery is charged once per layer quote in this worksheet; consolidate a multi-material delivery with the supplier before treating totals as a final invoice.
