Calculations and files
Core calculations run in your browser. Save locally stores one compact project in LocalStorage. Save drawing stores a separate drawing. Export JSON creates a file on your device. Import reads that file locally. No account, remote project database or image upload service is used.
Local storage
The key gravelmeasure-project stores your saved project after you choose Save locally. gravelmeasure-theme stores your theme preference. gravelmeasure-transfer may briefly store an area while moving between measuring and calculating tools. Clear the saved project with Delete saved. gravelmeasure-saved-drawing stores an explicitly saved drawing. This tab also keeps valid working edits in SessionStorage: gravelmeasure-working for the calculator and gravelmeasure-drawing for the drawing. gravelmeasure-edit-area temporarily transfers a selected boundary to the drawing workspace. Session drafts normally disappear when the tab closes; browser session restoration may retain them. Clear all saved data and preferences through your browser’s site-data settings. Private browsing and storage limits may prevent saving.
Plan images
Uploaded PNG, JPEG and WebP images stay in memory via a local object URL. They are not included in JSON exports or LocalStorage. Remove image or close the page to discard the image. Browser memory handling is controlled by the browser and operating system.
Optional maps
Opening the map measurement page automatically loads its map. The calculator and other measurement routes do not load the map provider. The map requests visible street-map image tiles from the configured provider. That service receives network information such as IP address and requested tile locations. The default is OpenStreetMap. Review its tile policy and privacy policy. Browser caching is respected. No offline download or automatic location permission is requested.
Hosting and third-party links
A future static host may keep access logs, including IP address and requested pages. The owner must document the selected host before launch. Following an external source link is subject to that site’s policies. Fonts are self-hosted.
Ads and analytics
This release includes no ad network, analytics tracker, advertising cookies or consent banner. Advertising would require a separate policy update and appropriate consent integration before activation.
Calculation help. Estimates are planning aids: volume = area × depth; density-based weight remains an assumption.
